Hi. I am Lauren McAdams, originally, from Evansville, IN. I attended college at Murray State University in Murray, KY where I played Division I soccer and received my Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in metalsmithing and jewelry. My BFA exhibition also consisted of ceramic, woodworking, video and installation. I traveled to Tempe, AZ in 2005 where I am currently finishing my MFA degree at Arizona State University. My work deals with the small moments in communication, such as first impressions or the element of chance when relating to people. I work with traditional metalsmithing and jewelry techniques along with foundry, blacksmithing, silkscreening on fiber, and metal fabrication. I always look for more techniques and my themes are similar but ever changing.
