I’LL LET HER DECIDE

brass, silver, CZ, 5” x 5” x 3.5”, 2006

This exaggerated ring represents a common theme in many relationships. Instead of choosing for yourself, your partner becomes the decision maker and you lose a part of yourself.
SQUARE PEG…

brass, silver, CZ, 5” x 5” x 3.5”, 2006

The ideal in a relationship…the perfect fit.
PUNCH STRUCK LOVE

steel, glass, 12” x 8” x 5”, 2006

This piece is exhibited in Lark Books 500 Wedding Rings. The gas welded sculpture implies a heavy weight in a relationship or the constant bragging rights that an engagement ring implies.
15 RINGS IN 25 BOXES (HACKNEYED)

silver, jewelry boxes, brass, imitation CZ’s, 12” x 9” x 6”, 2006

By fabricating multiple “identical” rings, the viewer questions the similarities in past relationships. This work is also featured in Lark Books 500 Wedding Rings.
HE SAID SHE SAID…

raised copper cups, silver, CZ, 29” x 4.5” x 5”, 2006

This work is featured in Lark Books 500 Metal Vessels and 500 Wedding Rings.
SPECIAL DELIVERY

steel, copper, party favor wedding rings, 23” x 4” x 11”, 2007

This interactive tool could be the next new method of passing out wedding rings.
SIMILAR DISCUSSION

copper, enamel paint, bearing, 21” x 4” x 6”, 2007

This sculptural discussion is between two artists that are experiencing different lives, but similar problems. This work is exhibited in the Mesa Contemporary Arts' 29th Annual Contemporary Crafts Exhibition in Mesa, Arizona.
TRANSPORTABLE DIALOGUE

brass, steel, wheel barrow, dirt, 2007

By taking the vintage communication tools of a phone receiver and creating a metaphoric comparison to growth and a constant cycle, I am questioning the transportable nature of past relationships into current ones. With the “plants” being named things like “I’ve been hurt before”, the viewer begins to realize the cycle of old happenings in new relationships.
